A good foundation...

The songwriting phase is about the most important phase of birthing a song.  An artist can spend a great amount of money recording songs that are not "ready" to be recorded. Maybe you've seen it....or heard it....an album that is sonically sound...but really lacks in the lyric and melody department.

That is why we focus a lot of TLC on fostering the song in it's infancy.  Before we spend a dime in the studio, we carefully go over the lyric, melody and phrasing with our clients to ensure that the songs are as commercially relevant as they can possibly be.  Once we get to the point where the lyric and melody can stand alone and still command attention, then we know that we are ready to go start tracking.  Don't short change yourself, and your audience by rushing through this phase.
